Abstract

Shakespeare and Latinidad is a collection of essays and interviews with scholars and theater practitioners engaged with Latinx productions and appropriations of Shakespearean drama. Encompassing a range of voices and methodological approaches, the volume brings together analysis, dramaturgy, and pedagogy to focus on the diversity of expression and possibility at the intersection of Latinx theater and Shakespeare Studies.

Author Biography

Robin Kello, UCLA

Robin Alfriend Kello is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of English at UCLA, where he focuses on Shakespeare, the theater of migration, and early modern literature in English and Spanish. His other research interests include bilingual theater, adaptation and appropriation, translation, and Shakespeare and Social Justice on the stage and in the classroom.
